I tried to treasure like diamonds
the flowing sands of our time
but they slipped away through destiny
inscribed in our hands

I tried to dress up my loneliness
in the pretense of this world
but all pretenses were washed away
when I drenched in the rain of your love

I was so captured in those
few moments of our time
that my whole time without you
seemed meaningless to me
When we parted I realized
that my love is not so silent
your memories are not so distant
so I collected them like pearls
when they flowed through my eyes

I found myself through the delusions
that you made with your beautiful words
I lived briefly through the life
you breathed into my dreams

For the few moments
that we lived as one in each other
were what I needed to feel
Alive within myself
